This Creativity workshop offers in two parts focuses on how we can inject creativity in learning and teaching in higher education to create imaginative and curiosity-driven learning experiences that open up new thinking, possibilities and explorations and transform higher education as we know it.

Creativity in learning and teaching in higher education is now more important than ever as it is one of the essential skills for the future and will help us to be more open up to new ad unusual ideas, collaborate and solve complex problems of our times through making novel connections. Research shows that creativity is also vital for our wellbeing. Especially since the pandemic more higher education professionals are recognising the important role creativity can play in learning and teaching in higher education. We have seen more educators becoming experimental and using less common teaching approaches. Creating active, engaging and stimulating learning opportunities that promote creativity in learning and support students in (further) developing their competences and capabilities has become a top priority for many.

In this interactive online workshop we will discuss which techniques and methods can be used in face-to-face and digital courses to activate students' creativity, enjoy learning and teaching, and reinforce learning relationships. You will have opportunities to participate in creative learning and teaching activities, share ideas with colleagues, experiment with new ideas and develop creative ideas for use in your own practice.

Please bring paper, coloured pencils/markers, scissors, glue, LEGO® or playdough, wire or yarn with you to both online workshops and your mobile.
